Abstract
Calophyllum caledonicum (Clusiaceae)yielded thirteen new hydroxylated and/orpreny latedxan thonede rivatives,namely5-
hydroxy-8-methox yxanthone (1), 3,5-dihydroxy-1,2-dimethox yxanthone (2), 1,8-dihydroxy-6,7-dimethoxy xanthone(3),5,7-dihydroxy-2,6-dimethox yxanthone(4),6,8-dihydroxy-3,7-dime thoxy -xanthone (5),2,5,6,7,8- pentahydroxyxanthone(6),1,3,8-trihydroxy-5,7-dimethoxyxanthone (7)andaccordi ngtoaprev iouslyadopte dno menclature[3],caledon ixanthone G-L. (8-13). The structural elucidation of1-13were mainly established on
the basis of 1D and 2D NMR and HRMS spectroscopic analysis.
